raw brass; engraving on the bell garland says "F. A. Heckel,
K. S. Hofinstrumentenmacher Dresden", K.S. = Koeniglich-Saechsisch, which
refers to the times where Saxonia (where Dresden belongs to) still was a
separate kingdom; from this one can conclude that it was built most likely
before or maybe slightly after World War I; among Heckel enthusiasts and
collectors, trumpets of this era are highly sought after; 3rd valve trigger;
a few patches here and there (as seen in the pictures), which do not affect
the playability at all; btw., thoses patches are quite common, which is not
surprising given their age and which also reflects that they have been
played for long - for good reasons, of course! Has recently still been
played by a student who borrowed it from the owner (his teacher) and won
as a soloist the German orchestra competition with it.
